Blogtober....and only my 3rd Blog of the Year!

 Ok, what has happened?   I thought I would start a brand new blog in the new year (2021) and next thing I  know it's October 1st.   Like seriously!? Where has the time gone?

So let me catch you up.   Hmmmm... where do I even begin!?   

1.  Interior renovations on the house are FINALLY done.  My punch list, for the inside anyways, is officially complete.   (Other than installing a purse shelf in my bedroom closet but I've deemed that a "winter" project.)  It's been a LOOOOONG year of living through a major renovation. 

2.  The outrageously overgrown front yard has been completely cleared and rebuilt with raised flower beds, a new walkway, window trim, front door and new grass.  Phew... Front yard = DONE!

3.  Moved back into my old role at work just last week which I'm pretty excited about.   Feeling good about getting some roots down again and settling into some routine.

4.  Covid is still impacting the photography world.  Wish I was busier with bookings but that'll come.     

5.  This is random but I hate rabbits.  Just sayin'.  I had a new family of them burrow under my air conditioning unit for a while.  They are dead gone now.  Let's just leave it at that. 

Happy New Year

There's no doubt 2020 was a difficult year.  For me personally, it's been a year of accomplishment and pride as well as heartbreak and unwelcomed change.  But often with difficult times we find ourselves sitting at a fork in the road and the choice that we make is a true measure of our character.  

I'd love to say that I always choose the correct path. I'd love to say that my intentions are always pure.  But what I CAN say is whatever God's plan is for my life, I am not in this alone.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."    Joshua 1:9

What a comfort to know that whatever we face, no matter how troubling it is, God is with us.  My hope is that as we enter a new year, you will go COURAGEOUSLY knowing you are not alone.

Introductions Please...

Ok, so here's the scoop.  I'm a bit crazy... I mean... life gets kinda crazy at times and that's OK.   It's my hope that as I share my dysfunctional life with you, you will be encouraged to live yours with the comfort that there are people out there that are even crazier than you!  Yup, true story.  

I am a lot of things.  Here is what you need to know.  I'm a mother, grandmother... yeah, I know what you are thinking!  This woman is way too young and super cool to possibly be a grandmother!?  I get that a lot.  I'm an Insurance Broker by day and a Professional Photographer by night.  Weirdest contradiction ever!  Lol....  Sarcasm and sass runs through my veins.  I'm working on it but it just seems to continuously elude me.  But most importantly, I'm a child of the King and my faith is what keeps me out of jail on the straight and narrow.  I'll admit, I often have more questions than answers but I'm working on that too.
